Customizing eLearning Workshops
What an awesome year it’s been, and we’re looking forward to an even better second half.
We have been delivering our latest workshop, Getting Started with eLearning. In response to a client’s request, we developed a two-day workshop to educate their staff in eLearning prior to their taking the plunge. WOW---that was a first. Generally, we are called in post the decision to go with eLearning.
We facilitated the interactive workshop by using a blended approach of educating, brainstorming and breaking into smaller groups that were tasked with:
- Developing a strategic plan
- Creating a cost-to-benefit analysis and
- Deciding which software applications/tools to evaluate
Here are some of the topics covered:
- Is eLearning right for us?
- Defining and describing terms and acronyms
- Developing strategic eLearning plans
- Conducing a cost-to-benefit analysis
- Industry best practices/case studies
- Should we buy or build?
- What staff and/or skillsets are needed?
- Working effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs )
- Repurposing content
- Evaluating tools for rapid development
- Explaining the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Exploring learning communities
- Why some initiatives fail
- Application demonstrations
The workshop was a huge success; however, we realize that not everyone has the time or facilities to accommodate a two-day onsite workshop. Therefore, we’ve decided to offer an abbreviated online webinar. To determine which topics are most useful for you, we’re asking that you complete our survey. Based on the results, we’ll soon offer an online version…..customized specifically to your needs.
